Michele Figuereo, MA, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

I believe that through a safe and judgment-free therapeutic relationship true growth, empowerment, and healing can occur in your life.  I have an extensive range of clinical experience providing mental health services for depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, and the LGBTQ population as well as other minority populations. All are welcome here.

In addition to using a holistic therapeutic approach to counseling, I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This evidence-based technique is used to guide clients into healing from past traumas or injurious events that currently present as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health disorders.

One of the most important aspects of therapy that I am committed to is creating a safe space for all individuals. Therefore, I operate from a very open-minded standpoint and I am accustomed to addressing issues relevant among diverse populations. All are appreciated for their unique backgrounds and personal qualities and all are welcome!

I welcome you to take a step towards a better quality of life and self care by contacting me to set up an appointment.

Ben Gitler, MSW, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Having had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, spanning pre-teens through late teens, and have helped people experiencing anxiety, anger, family and relationship issues. My experience includes both school and clinical settings, and recognizing personal strengths, fostering trusting therapeutic relationships, and creating an accepting environment are at the core of my practice.

I believe in integrating cognitive-behavioral techniques with a strength-based approach. By applying these principles and forming authentic therapeutic relationships, my goal is to empower clients to address whatever challenges they may be facing while recognizing their own abilities and resilience.

I look forward to supporting you on your journey. My goal is to provide a trusting and accepting environment that will allow you to feel comfortable addressing and overcoming whatever life circumstances are creating challenges.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Going through something challenging and feeling like no one knows or can help? If so, it can be extremely isolating to go through this journey alone. It can also be difficult to not push away those that are close to you in an effort to protect yourself from more pain. My goal in therapy is to help you see the light at the end of the tunnel, find your joy again, and improve your outlook on your future. It is an honor of mine to be allowed into your life, to learn some of your story, and assist you in finding solutions to your struggles.

I have extensive training in trauma informed care and also take a narrative approach to learning about you and what barriers exist to you feeling like a better version of yourself. I know that therapy can be a vulnerable experience, however my goal is to create a warm and empathetic environment that fosters change rather than stagnation.

Regardless of what you have gone through, or what has been done to you, I want every individual that I work with to feel valued and appreciated for who they are and what they have overcome. I look forward to meeting you!

There are times in life when it helps to have someone to walk alongside you on the journey. That is what I am here to do. I believe that every person has strengths they can use to help themselves to grow stronger and move forward. I like to use a strengths-based cognitive behavioral approach to help children, adolescents, and young adults unlock their potential. I have worked as a school social worker, supporting students with a variety of needs, and have knowledge of special education supports. I enjoy helping young people work through the circumstances that life brings and transitions that can be difficult to navigate.

I have had extensive training in working with students on the Autism spectrum, LGBTQ+ persons, and using trauma-informed practices. I am also an advocate for teaching children mindfulness practices to ground themselves in the present moment. I have helped many young people manage anxiety and depression, including how to use functional coping skills.

I strive to cultivate a safe and welcoming environment, to provide non-judgmental treatment, and work with the young person wherever they are on their journey through life. I aim to empower young people to learn and grow themselves to be strong and independent for their future.
